INT. LEGAL DEPARTMENT - DAY

Privacy

PlotSlop is a party game. It needs very little about you, and keeps no account.

Last updated October 21, 2026. PlotSlop is run by Jackson Sanger, Florida, USA. Questions: legal@plotslop.com.

What we collect

  • A random device ID made by the app or browser, and a secret the server issues to go with it. It identifies a phone or browser, not a person.
  • The nickname you type when you join a game.
  • What you pitch: every entry you type or say into an envelope, including ones that were turned down. This is the casting log. It records who cast what, in which game, and when.
  • What the game makes: scripts, votes, scores and the share pages you choose to create.
  • Reports you send about a script.
  • Purchases: if you buy something, Apple sends us a signed record of the purchase (a transaction ID and the product). We never see your payment details or Apple ID.
  • Server logs: our web server records IP addresses and requests, like nearly every website does.

What we don't collect

No accounts, no email addresses, no contacts, no location, no advertising IDs, no tracking across apps or websites. No ads. We don't sell or share data for advertising.

Voice: when you speak an entry, the speech is turned into text on your phone by Apple's speech recognition. We receive only the text, never the audio.

Who else sees it

Entries and scripts are sent to Anthropic, the company whose AI (Claude) screens entries and writes the scenes. Anthropic processes them to provide that service under its commercial terms, which don't allow it to train its models on them.

Everyone in your game sees the nicknames, the opened envelopes and the scripts. A share page is visible to anyone who has its link. It isn't listed anywhere or indexed by search engines, and it shows nicknames, not real names.

Purchases go through Apple, under Apple's privacy policy.

How long we keep it

The casting log is kept indefinitely, because it's the record of who cast what. Games, scripts and share pages are kept so that share links keep working. Server logs are deleted after about two weeks. Hidden share pages stay hidden.

To have your entries, nickname or share pages deleted, email legal@plotslop.com with the room code and roughly when you played. We'll remove what we can match to you.

Kids

PlotSlop isn't directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect anything from them. An entry that targets a minor is refused.

Changes

If this policy changes, the date at the top changes too.
